Structural Design

Innovate with form, shape and function

The way you design your packaging is just as important as the product itself, and this stage is all about the structure and how it works!

Using the right branding, logos and graphics is always important but there are other aspects to consider too, such as on-pack labeling and messaging, selecting the most appropriate materials to use and much more.

Brilliantly designed packing should be functional and allow for good protection of your product. It should be practical, able to survive the supply chain and meet your cost targets.

We can help you with all segments of this stage, including:

•    Designing for Manufacture – Our designers are highly creative, but we take into account the technical needs of packaging, connecting all the way from design through to manufacture, supply chain and commercialisation.

•    Designing Without Bias – We are not a manufacturer, so we can explore designs across many different production methods and materials, without you feeling tied to a specific supplier.

•    BlueSky Design – We are happy to explore BlueSky ideas if needed, but we don’t want to waste your time and budget designing something that can’t be made! Involve us at the beginning to work with your graphic design agency.

•    Designing the Smart Way – Our knowledge will guide you towards the right choices, across material, production method and 'fit for purpose' attributes.

•    Using Our Manufacturing Network – We understand that the right design can sometimes be found as an ‘off the shelf’ solution, and we can help you source these.

We are honest and understand that new packaging doesn’t always have re-invent the wheel. If we feel we can add differentiation in another cost-effective way, we will tell you. If you have £100k for new machines, this is fantastic, but we understand realism is sometimes required and we offer innovative solutions to meet your budget.
